STEM Scholar Leigh Hamlet and Green Schools

Throughout her high school career Nipmuc senior and STEM Scholar Leigh Hamlet has demonstrated a passion for environmental science. In pursuing this interest, Leigh became a student ambassador to Green Schools, a non-profit organization that supports environmental education, STEM education, leadership opportunities, and environmental stewardship. Leigh has worked tirelessly as an ambassador for the program. In 2012 she was honored by the New England Patriots "Celebrate Volunteerism" campaign for her work with Green Schools.

In continuing her work with the organization, Leigh was interviewed in a video produced by Governor Patrick's office to highlight clean energy education and Green Schools.
