Voices of Nipmuc Announcements April 14 - 18, 2014


Morning Announcements
Term 3 Honor Roll is posted.  Any questions on the honor roll should be referred to Mrs. Callahan in the guidance office.

Anyone wishing to run for the National Honor Society E-board, please sign up in Mrs. Kyrka's room 217.  Elections are May 1st.

Attention Seniors:  Please be aware that graduation speaker auditions have been changed to Wednesday, April 30th.  Please see Mr. Michael Clements in room 220 if you are interested in auditioning.

Any sophomore attending the Health Care Career Fair field trip must have permission slips and money in by Thursday, April 17th.

Anyone who wants to take a VHS class next year should stop by the media center to pick up an application.  All applications should be handed in ASAP.

The class of 2015 is now selling Nipmuc bangle bracelets with Nipmuc logo for $20 each.  Please see Sr. Soto in room 313 or Madi Neri to place an order.

Club and Activity photos are being taken today - Monday, 4/14.

Yearbook Meeting - Tuesday, 4/15 from 6 - 8 p.m. in Mrs. Alibozek's room 235.

Undergraduate yearbook orders can be placed now on the Nipmuc Yearbook site.

Any student interested in traveling to Paris and Barcelona during April vacation 2015 should stop by Ms. Reardon's room 136 to pick up information.  An informational meeting will be held for students and parents on Thursday, May 1st at 7 p.m. in room 136.

Project Bread is an organization that promotes hunger awareness and sponsors the Walk for Hunger.  The walk this year is Sunday, May 4 in Boston.  If interested, please see Autumn Morrice for more details.  

Help support the Class of 2015 raise money for prom!  Pick up a flyer in the office or media center to register for the Wiffle Ball Tournament at the Nipmuc Fair on June 7th.  It is $5 per person and $45 a team.  Forms are due back for May 1st.  See Emily Santos or Cullen Farragher for more details.

Drivers Education Program applications are available in the office and on the school website.  Program starts Tuesday, April 29th, 6:30 - 9 p.m. for 5 weeks.  Please turn in application and check to the main office.

All STEM Scholars who will be participating in career shadowing experiences this week should stop by the main office today to receive paperwork for your visit.

Guidance Announcements
Please note that you can now access the Guidance Department webpage from the drop down menu found under Nipmuc Regional High School on the district webpage.

ATTENTION SENIORS:  Please bring a copy of ALL your decision letters to the guidance office.
Also remember to check the Guidance blog often for scholarship applications and note deadline dates.

Seniors - Many scholarships require letters of recommendation and transcripts.  Please give your counselor enough time to process your application.  Please stop in the guidance office if you have any questions about the scholarship process. 

An Admissions Counselor from Ithaca College will hold an information session in the guidance office on Wednesday, April 16th at 1:30 p.m.  Sophomores and Juniors interested in learning more about Ithaca College should sign up in the guidance office. 

ATTENTION SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS:  Mark your calendars for the Providence National College Fair on Saturday, April 26 from 12 to 3 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and the Boston National College Fair on May 1 and 2 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. For more information, flyers are available in the guidance office. 

Would you like to learn more about the Navy ROTC Program?  A representative from the Navy will hold an information session in the guidance office on Thursday, May 8th at 1:30.  Sign up in guidance.
