Celebrating National Library Week

In honor of National Library Week I am happy to offer my thanks to Nipmuc's Library Media Specialist, Ms. Suzanne Venkataraman, and our Library Media Assistant, Ms. Sue Roecker. Ms. Venkataraman and Ms. Roecker help to make our media center an integral part of teaching and learning at Nipmuc. The library is also a key aspect of the school culture at Nipmuc.

Each quarter at Nipmuc the media center accommodates approximately 6,000 student visits. Approximately 3,000 students visit with classes to make use of resources or technology. Additionally, nearly 600 students each quarter access the library after school. Clearly these stats demonstrate the important role the media center plays for our school. 

Many thanks to Ms. Venkataraman and Ms. Roecker for all of their work and initiative, including updating the media center website, helping to provide access to iPads, and ensuring that our NHS tutors can work with students after school.
