| Nipmuc's Silver Medal Wining Jazz Ensemble |
On Saturday March 29, the Nipmuc Regional High School Jazz
Ensemble performed at the MAJE (Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education)
State Finals Festival hosted by the Framingham Public Schools. The Jazz
Ensemble received a Silver Medal for its performance. The students in the
ensemble were also able to watch performances by other high
school groups from around the state as well as the Ken Hadley Big Band.
On Saturday April 5, the Nipmuc Regional High School Concert Band
and Wind Ensemble performed at the MICCA (Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral
Conductors Association) Concert Festival hosted at Bellingham HS. Both groups
were performed for a panel of adjudicators and were given a 30 minute clinic
after the performance. The concert band and wind ensemble both received a
Bronze Medal for their performance.
