Please review the follow letter from Mrs. Moran regarding student parking.
As we prepare for the upcoming
school year, we are hopeful that your summer has been restful and enjoyable.
This letter is being sent to you to update you on the status of student parking
for the 2014-2015 school year.
During the past few years, we
have continually looked for ways to create additional student parking spaces.
We will be able to provide parking spaces for all senior
students during the 2014-2015 school year. Depending on the number of requests
for parking permits, we will also be able to provide parking for junior
students for at least half the school year.
After providing spaces for
seniors, the remaining spaces will be made available to members of the junior
class through a lottery. The lottery will be held twice during the school year.
The first will be held in September and the second will be held at the close of
term 2. Please be aware that any junior student who obtains parking through the
lottery during the first half of the year will be entered into a lottery for a
parking space for the spring but is not guaranteed a parking space for the
entire year.
Similar to past years,
the parking fee for 2014-2015 will be $50. Applications for both juniors and seniors
are available if the front office. All seniors who would like to obtain a
parking permit should return a completed application and the $50 parking fee to
the main office by Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Any junior who would like to
be included in the fall parking lottery should return a completed application
and a $25 parking fee by Friday, September 5, 2014. Also, please note that a
parking sticker will not be issued until an updated emergency sheet is on file.
These sheets will be available for students on the first day of school.
