Good Reads for Good Deeds

Seniors Annalisa Baci (StuCo VP), Emily Pirozzi (StuCo President)
Wally Esker, and Taylor Olson read with students.

Kudos to the Nipmuc Student Council members who launched a community service project last week called “Good Reads for Good Deeds”. As part of the project Nipmuc students work with students at our elementary schools to collect new and gently used books which will be donated to hospitals, shelters, police and fire stations to benefit children in need. In receiving donations, student council members had the chance to speak to our elementary students about the virtues of helping others. They also read some of the donated books to the students.

Thank you to our student council members and their advisers - Mrs. Janis Grady and Ms. Ana Soto - for organizing this event. Thank you, also, to the students, parents, teachers, and administrators at our elementary schools for partnering with us in running this collaborative effort.
